how Morata Compares
Statistically Morata is the better striker and he has physically proven so at Chelsea. Over preforming Benzema, at Real Madrid, in all areas except passing, as seen in the image by FOOTBALLWHISPERERS, it is surprising why he was not Zidane’s choice. Last season Morata proved he was better and scored in 15 different occasions, despite playing just 1263 minutes. Benzema was statistically destroyed, despite being on the pitch in the league for 1741 minutes he only managed to work out at 0.47 goals per 90 minutes at little less than half of what Morata managed. Not only is the Spaniard a better striker he is also only at the start of his career, 24 years old, compared to the Frenchman, 29, who might start seeing sharp declines in the next few seasons.
